Chien, Chang-Ta was born in 1962 in Pingdong, Taiwan. He was taught by masters such as Li Shin-Chao, Chen Ching-Jung, and Yan San-Lang. He had received many awards from domestic art contests and was invited to numerous domestic and international exhibitions. Chien is good in painting in realistic style with impressionistic logic to control the lightness, shadow, and the structure of the paintings. He demonstrates the layers and the textures by casually fused colors, and added semi-realism and abstract elements into his works, which reinforced the depth, importance to exploring the inners of human beings, and artist’s love for nature.
