Earthstone Chu was born in Taiwan, graduating from the Department of Fine Arts at Chinese Culture University. For years, he practices Tai Chi, meditates, thinking about artistic life. Chu’s early works focused on woodblock prints and ink paintings; he also published calligraphic serial comic in the pseudonym “Bo Tong.” In recent years, he mainly creates installation works. Chu’s philosophic thinking reflects modern people’s life experience, trying to break the so-called “beauty” and build up a new balanced relationship.
