(B.1931)

Chu Ko was born in Hunan province, China in 1931. In early years, he worked on modern poetry, illustration, and art review, and is considered as one of the earliest modern illustrator. He studied antique bronze ware in Taiwan National Palace Museum, which expressed his outstanding talent and achievement.

His unconventional creative style for modern art, culture, and social perspective has a breakthrough meaning in the present art field. Chu Ko exercised the cultural characteristics, modern symbol, and the Oriental art schema as his basis for painting. He was the innovator of modern Chinese ink painting, and the Oriental art pioneer who entered the new century.
