Ho Mu-Huo was born into a farm family in Taichung in 1958. He has been to various famous mountains, waterfalls, cloud and mist to paint pictures with ink and wash painting and traditional Chinese painting styles. He usually paints to delineate the feelings from his heart, and the serenity of nature can only be felt with the soul. Within magical changes of atmosphere, the subtlety and delicacy immerge into boundless art. That misty imagination reflects his deepest mind and philosophy. In particular, all the simplified elements that drench in dreamy mono-tone and the arranged space and lines depict out a sense of poetic romance that impress in audience’s mind. Furthermore, his artistic style is no doubt simple but meaningful, between concreteness and abstraction, the black and white scenery is fulfilled with sublime Oriental spirituality.
