Born in Chiayi, Taiwan. His technique for sketching is very solid because of the experience of study in Japan in his early life. Wei had won many honors included the first prize of Literary and artistic creation award of Ministry of Education, Nan-Ying Award, National Art Exhibition and the certificate of Chinese artists in the world…etc. In Wei's painting, the main colors are usually red and black, the artist pay a lot attention to humanity by a rational brushstroke. And the spirit of his work is to apply western theory in Chinese art-the cautious attitude toward painting in Western and the rhythm of Chinese art both show on the painting. It's a masterpiece that worth to appreciate and collect. |
